Sheep For Sale
FOR SALE:
Note: Before deciding to purchase any sheep, please do your research and be prepared to provide your sheep with the proper care. Please view my "sheep care" page for information regarding basic care and instructions for taming and introducing your lamb into its new home. Please also check out my "sales policies" page before inquiring about one of our sheep. Current available sheep are listed below.
*Because our lambs are dam-raised (raised by their sheep moms), they are initially not as tame as bottle-fed babies. Once they have been weaned and removed from their mothers, they can become just as tame with a little effort. Taming information is included on the basic care sheets.
*"Wether care sheets" will be provided with any wether that is purchased from us. Although an unpleasant subject, it is essential that buyers read and understand this information in order to ensure the best possible outcomes for their new pets.
SALE STATUS MEANINGS:
*Sale pending: the sheep is on hold for someone, but the sale is not yet complete. It is possible for the sheep to come back up for sale
*Available: the sheep is not on hold for anyone and is completely available for purchase
*Sold: the sheep is no longer available and has been paid for in full
SHEEP TERMINOLOGY:
*Ewe lamb: female sheep under one year old
*Ewe: adult female sheep
*Ram lamb: unaltered (not castrated) male sheep under one year
*Ram: adult intact (not castrated) male sheep
*Wether: altered (castrated) male sheep (male sheep need to be castrated unless responsible breeding is planned. This gets rid of all the hormones that often make intact male sheep unsuitable as pets)
*Lamb: general term for young sheep
